Map desync when exploring fog of war

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering what seems to be a synchronization issue while playing Freeciv Web Solitaired in multiplayer mode with a friend. We both start a new game on the same server (frozen terrain ruleset), and everything works fine until one of us starts exploring fogged areas with units (especially triremes and explorers). At some point, the map on our screens begins to differ slightly for example, one of us sees a mountain tile, the other sees plains. We also noticed that city borders sometimes expand differently.

We tried refreshing the game window and even rejoining the session, but the desync persists. Eventually, the game becomes unplayable because our moves no longer make consistent sense to each other.

Has anyone else encountered this kind of fog-of-war desync in multiplayer?
Could this be related to unit movement revealing tiles at different ticks due to latency?
