Transitioning from v2.6.9 -> v2.6.10 and no clue what is wrong

Hello.
Thus... I have built v2.6.10 from source, all fine.
Have a savegame from the v2.6.9 that loads just fine in v2.6.10 but when I attempt a 'diplomat' bribe action in v2.6.10 (that it works in v2.6.9), the client returns to the main menu and have no indication of what is going wrong, even comparing the logs.

I cannot find any relevant difference in what has changed in 'bribing' from v2.6.9 to v2.6.10 that could cause such.
The commands I use (shell has alias dtstamp='date +%F+%T'):

Code: Select all

./freeciv269/bin/freeciv-gtk2 -t hexemplio -P sdl -d 3 -l ./.freeciv/serv.logs/freeciv-server.v269.`dtstamp`.log
./freeciv2610/bin/freeciv-gtk2 -t hexemplio -P sdl -d 3 -l ./.freeciv/serv.logs/freeciv-server.v2610.`dtstamp`.log
It is certainly due to the 'bribe' action (my diplomat is bribing the enemy diplomat), but there is nothing in the logs that helps pinpointing the root cause.

Question: what could i check to find the root cause?

Please report this as a bug to https://osdn.net/ticket/newticket.php?group_id=12505, and preferably attach the savegame to reproduce the issue from.

Opened the ticket myself: https://osdn.net/projects/freeciv/ticket/48931

I've got a fix in testing already.

Hello.

All is well on this side too, now.
Many thanks for the prompt response!

Sincerely signed,
omero

P.S.:

I just noticed that the 'Messages' panel reports:
You have caused an incident while bribing <blah>

Shouldn't maybe more appropriate to word it as:
You have caused a diplomatic incident while bribing <blah>

I am aware that this is kind of nitpicking...
Cheers o/
