Mac app now available in the dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/sh/buypyjprsbvq ... AEcXIZGrSa

This is the first release using the new meson build system, which is not yet officially supported but will be in 3.1. The result is much smaller and more elegant. Please report your experience with it in this forum topic http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=89917

Do you have the (modified) source code available somewhere?

No, only on my Mac, I don't have access to a server. I doubt anyone but me would be interested in it. Also don't think it's worthwhile to fork the freeciv code base or make a new branch since 3.1 will be coming soon.

So, by request only? You need to keep it at least for three years.

GPL : "... offer, valid for at least three years, to give any third party, for a charge no more than your cost of physically performing source distribution, a complete machine-readable copy of the corresponding source code..."

Split this to a new thread from the announcement, to make clear that this is not the freeciv.org version, nor supported by us (hard to look for bugs in sources you don't have)

Oops, just discovered that my meson built app doesn't work as is. You would need to install homebrew and use that to install needed packages to make it work. So I'll withdraw it from the Dropbox, and re-think my plans.
