Hello everybody,
what am I missing? There's music playing on the main menu, but no music is playing ingame.
The (Client) Option Sound, "Enable in-game music" is checked.
The options chosen are: "stdsound", "stdmusic", and "sdl". Not other options are available (except "none" for plugin).
The ingame sounds are played.
Tested with:
Windows 10; downloaded Freeciv-3.0.1-msys2-win64-gtk3.22-setup
Linux Antix based on Debian Buster 10.12; compiled the 3.0.1 with gtk3.22 and sdl2-mixer
What am I doing wrong?
Ingame music not playing
Re: Ingame music not playing
The minimal 'stdmusic' set does not contain any in-game music.
Use the modpack installer utility (likely you have built 'freeciv-mp-gtk3' one) to install more featured musicset, such as SongOfDoom, and then take that to use from the client settings.

Thank you!

My only defense is that I in fact saw the freeciv-mp-gtk3, but interpreted the 'mp' as 'multiplayer' ...
