Hi! First, i´m spanish person, so sorry if I have grammar errors. I install the game, the version 2.5.6, but when I try to start a new game, I can´t do it, the message is that you need to start a new game manually. I try to open the archive freeciv-server.exe, but when I open it, the file closes automatically. Why can´t I start a new game? And how can I start a game manually?

Latest version is 2.6.3.
If you specifically need 2.5 compatible version, latest bugfix release is 2.5.12.
