LT49 will be a Freeciv 2.5 based team game.

It's possibly island based and it's played with the more traditional longturn.net ruleset that's based on LT47. The ruleset will have few minor changes mostly affecting the early game.

The game is planned to start mid July but the start date is not carved on stone and can be changed.

Feel free to suggest changes, settings and ideas for the game.

The best multiplayer Freeciv games are played on longturn.net. Join the game and have the possibility to learn some great strategies from the more experienced players in your team.

Joining to the game should be done before it starts. Unlike with more casual games, late joining is usually not possible.

Yes. 2.6 is planned sooner than later. This game will be 2.5 because we want to launch one sooner than later and 2.6 can be worked out while this game is running.

If there are any volunteers to translate 2.5 ruleset into 2.6, I’m sure it will be accepted extatically

It’s probably not a matter of it being difficult, but of spending several hours on it.

Looks like we have enough players for a nice two team game starting next week.

You can still join this game. Joining after the start can only be done if there are idlers. We don't have idling players as huts in this game. There is actually only one hut.

LT49 will be mostly similar to LT49 but there are some changes mostly affecting the early game by changing the ancient units to have 2x moves instead of the traditional 3x. The 2nd major change is for controlling the global warming where it now actually makes sense to build eco friendly power plants. In the previous games doing that more or less wrecked your economy.
