I think gunpowder should makes all units of researcher capable of omit city walls, when attacking city. Each unit can carry dynamite.

JFTR, gunpowder is rather old, dynamite is a relatively new invention. In current rulesets howitzers are the only land unit ignoring walls, maybe you need another new special land unit (mineur, pioneer) in your rules for this idea.
