Is caravan_fixes1.patch still needed? It avoids use of city_link() in certain situation. I would think that either freeciv-web is nowadays able to handle city_link() result (in which case caravan_fixes1.patch is not needed) or it's not (in which case all other uses of city_link() should be handled too - I already have a patch for city_link() itself for this if needed)

That patch is probably not needed any more. Great work on removing the need to patch Freeciv-web!
