I played a game single player game under the Civ2 ruleset. I quit.
Then whenever I start a new game under civ2 and when I try to start it, it puts me back into the menu where it gives you the option to start a new game, scenario etc.
What do I do?

Post here freeciv version and operating system. Then somebody could tell you how to get the error message.

When I play with anything but the default ruleset, I always run a server, that always works for me.
