Is there a Utility to convert Civ2 saves/scenarios to FreeCiv?

What would you like to see in Freeciv? Do you have a good idea what should be improved or how?

A converter exists now, I created it:
https://github.com/grestrep/civ2-to-freeciv/tree/master
I've tested this with over 40 converted scenarios.

You can use this to easily convert a civ2 map, starting cities, factions, etc. Make sure to read the documentation!
