Where are the save files?

Can you please tell me where the save files of the multiplayer game are located and how to activate them?
It's not in the "Load Saved Game" section.

We play on the "Internet Metaserver".

Don't know about other public servers, but cazfi.net ones make the final savegame available at http://www.cazfi.net/~freeciv/games/ after game has ended for any reason - including that everyone has logged out. But even with that you would need to run your own server to load the savegame into and continue.
