Re: Wiki sidebar covering main table
For the worst of these I resort to using inspect (from the context menu <RMC>), and then delete the side bar.

Re: some questions about ruleset development, some specific to the master branch of freeciv

Re: Question: Implementing unit resource requirements.
I would like to kindly ask is it now possible to implement civ3 or civ4 style resource requirements or trade networks. And if not can this be implemented in lua somehow to make up for it, ... . Like for example, is it possible to plant a improvement on a tile with coal to get coal available for you...

Re: How to get the AI to make air units and use nukes?
The AI is really good at making a ton of land units like riflemen, fanatics, partisans, mech inf, and also good at making sea units like AEGIS cruisers, but I have never seen an AI make a single fighter. I have had ONE occasion using fc2.6.6 where a trireme of mine was sunk by an AI fighter. Didn`t...

Re: Feedback about planned features
Judgement is subjective, of course, so there is no exact definition even in a narrowly defined context, but an example of what I had in mind can be seen in a comparison between the subject material in the topics "Proposed feature: ....." in the forum http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewforum.ph...

Re: Feedback about planned features
Of all the projects that I have published I recall only three comments. But I persist with the model so that (a) users know they can comment if ever they see a need to do so, and (b) the hope that if someone sees a mistake (or an opportunity for improvement) they will comment. Last year we had some ...

Re: The "gimmick" concept and scripting of it
Unhardcoding stuff is good, but one point here is that you want to move stuff from the rulesets to lua scripts, which adds the requirement for ruleset authors to be able to code those scripts. Something to keep in mind here is that as rulesets become increasing arcane the 'programming' skills requi...

Re: what happens when...
Another option to consider is to not allow the upgrade while the unit is doing something the upgrade can`t do. I believe this is the case for the unit being somewhere the upgrade can`t be.

Re: How do you disable pollution?
Yes indeed, Game->Options ->local Client -> Graphics as well as View. If turned off you may still see it by its effect in reducing the tile produce for some tiles (e.g. city DB summary or tile inspection using the mouse).

Re: what can cause a lack of starting positions?
After a few moments thought I concluded that the removal of grassland shield resources would improve the sites selected (if anything), so this could explain why I have not noticed a problem. So I will still look but I am not planning on any changes.
