Re: Hey, what's happening

I compiled an freeciv-3.1 modpack installable with the modpack installer utility that comes with freeciv. This modpack contains most of the scenarios that come with the main freeciv distribution, but changed so that they are locked to use classic ruleset. Enter URL https://www.cazfi.net/freeciv/mod...

Re: Hey, what's happening

Sigh, Windows. You don't have write permissions to the current directory. I'll try to figure out a relatively simple way to work around this. Thank you for your efforts, you are such a good man, and doing this for free, and I am bothering you too much. I have finally opted for 2.5.12. I got less fe...

Re: Hey, what's happening

Works for me. I have tried 2.6.11, but I got problem with city bar, it needs 5 seconds to open, and another 5 seconds to close. So, If I have to change production in 12 cities, it takes me 2 minutes. Version 2.5.12 is too old and with less features. So I have installed 3.1.1, I have tried the serve...

Re: Hey, what's happening

Works for me. Just to clarify: You should "Connect to Network Game" to that server, not to start a new scenario game (with client-internal server). Ah, I didn't know that. Anyways, I have now opted for the 2.6.11 because it got more features. That server thing is too complicated for me. T...

Re: Hey, what's happening

I have tried both 2.5.12 and 2.6.11 versions, and I can confirm that both got "classic" ruleset by default for the map of Europe. But I will stick to 2.5.12 because it got the prettiest user interface.

Re: Hey, what's happening

If you run server separately, you should be able to set ruleset first, and then to load europe scenario (this does not work with all scenarios, but most of the scenarios included in freeciv distribution can be played with multiple rulesets): > rulesetdir classic ... > load europe I did this, opened...
