Re: More (probably) silly questions
When i looked into it, the incomprehensible ai was removed sometime in the 2.x series in favor of a less competent but more flexible ai. So as I understand, the current ai is fairly well understood.

Re: Is FreeCIV worth playing if I already have all the official CIV games?
Im curious. What didn't you like about civ 4? You say that moddability and community are the biggest factors for you, but civ 4 is the most moddable and has one of, if not the largest community of all the civ games.

Re: Freeciv 3D, the quest for hexagonal map tiles, and Copilot
Is there a reason for constantly moving the project? Or does it differ from your other 3d freeciv projects? It seems to me that changing the web address constantly can only hurt the reputation and player base of the project.

Re: Questions about packet format
Ok. Thanks. I have another problem, though. For a jumbo chunk packet, the packet length seems to be wrong. Re: Questions about packet format
Ok. Thanks. By separate, I mean that I would expect it to be \x04\x00username, not \x04username. As there seems to be such separation everywhere else, this seems incongruous.

Re: new rulesets offerred
A few thoughts. Can you add more than one animal nation? Each with its own set of animals. Or you could control the kraken entirely by Lua. Just set it to patrol between two tiles, and attack any adjacent units.

Questions about packet format
I'm trying to write a python interface for the freeciv server, and I'm having trouble understanding the packet formats. This packet is able to trick the server into thinking a client is trying to connect: \x00T\x04username\x00+Freeciv-3.1-network city-original rsdesc32 obsinv ids32\x00\x00\x00\x00\x...

Re: new rulesets offerred
Are they just not generated? If so, maybe they could be added by Lua.
