I've been testing Freeciv versions on multiple platforms recently and have noticed that the AI ​​sometimes doesn't work well in complex situations, especially in terms of city and military development strategies.

What tips or mods can help improve AI in Freeciv?

Is there a way to optimize AI behavior to make it make smarter strategic decisions?

Do you have C coding skills? My understanding is that the reason the AI is sub-optimal is because its source code needs improving. I have been learning how to contribute patches and hope to eventually get to the point of tackling some of the AI code.

My own opinion is that I wish more work would be put into improving the AI instead of adding more new features.
