Can anyone explain the Units tab (QT client) to me?

Post by blabber »

Hi all, started a Freeciv session using the native QT client and everything works fine. But I absolutely fail to understand what the Units tab (shortcut F2) is showing. Can anyone break down this Ul for me?

There seems to be no client manual describing the Ul, so thanks in advance.

Edit: The Units are clickable in this Tab, but the click seems to do nothing. What is the expected beaviour?

I believe this tab shows the units on the tile, and when you click them it changes the selected unit. It is used for managing unit stacks.

Guessing icons: Attack & defense, Upkeep in shields (production) & gold & food.

After digging through the source code, it seems as if the swords, which I intuitively associate with "Attack", represent the number of active units of this type. The hammer like icon seems to represent the number of units currently in production.

The other icons represent, as guessed by cazfi, the upkeep.
