how to turn off autosave?

hi
when i play single player the computer saves a heap of auto saves that i need to delete manually.
how can i turn this off?

game -> options -> remote server -> internal -> Which savegames are generated automatically ...

From the Game Settings dlog, you have to do Apply first, and then Save.

From the Game Settings dlog, you have to do Apply first, and then Save.
A common trap but after falling for it a few dozen times one gets to notice the 'apply' button.
