We now has the option for running practice games with other people. You can also play competitively if you want.

This is for Freeciv 2.5 and it's not yet reported to metaserver. Not yet for technical reasons. You need a Freeciv 2.5 native client for playing the game.

It's possible to choose almost any past longturn.net's 2.5 multiplayer ruleset (LT36 - LT51) and play it short turn with other people.

The game is hosted at longturn.net and the port is 5099.

Registration is not needed and the game is restarted if all the players disconnect. Currently there is no support for the .serv files so the start units are not like they were in real LT games but this will be available at a later time.

This gives you the option to see how the game has evolved on longturn games in the past decade. All the past rulesets were made available as they were when the actual games were played. No changes, fixes, alterations or stuff like that. This is a great way to live the historic games again.

There are 5 player slots and the missing human players are played by AI nations.

Thanks for Louis for making this possible!
