If I can't help the MiG (yet), let's have a container ship. Water freight. Civ6 has them, Freeciv should not be left behind

GPL2 - reused transport hull.
A Cog would go well with it as medieval version. Let's see when I find more time.

Oh, that's very shiny! Interesting having both loaded and unloaded versions, too.

Umm.. Does "shiny" mean the colors are off? That should be easy to improve.
The unloaded version came rather cheap, since the containers are in their own layer.
And here comes the missile sub... How does the contrast on missile bays work for you? It looked good up close, but feels a bit unreadable now

Shiny as in like a new toy

.
Well, it's not truly apparent on them at normal zoom. I think you'll have to use lighter pixels for them. Something like 102/102/102 for the amplio, and 142/142/142 for the trident. And on trident, they both look very similar even then.

So, the Trident version. What would distinguish more? At the target scale it feels very different, but then again I zoom in about 800%. I guess the question is - who does use trident and how? Is it typically viewed at 1:1 scale on a full HD monitor? The problem I have is that a submarine is... a submarine. Submerged round hull, tower, as featureless as possible to avoid drag. The main points of difference from the standard sub are to be found in placement of tower, "hump" of the missile compartment, and the pattern of covers. The only further differentiation I can think of is different colour...
Feel free to suggest something

PT boat. Hopefully the water works - I tried to capture the two jets of spray from the bow and third in the middle. Might be too puny though...

I get the impression it's still popular. I know at least one person who uses it (on a standard resolution monitor, I think).
Now that Freeciv is finally getting some sort of zoom facility, I myself might be more inclined to use it (it's too small for me otherwise, even on a standard-resolution (75dpi) monitor); I've always had a soft spot for it. I guess others (including people with shiny displays) will use it also.
Your new Trident missile sub looks good to me! And the Amplio one is comparably distinguishable to destroyer/cruiser/AEGIS, I think.

Hmm, you know, I think the brightened spots might be enough for the missile sub. And the PT boat is beautiful! They're PT boats, they
should be puny

Trident version of the torpedo boat.
As always, don't hesitate to comment on the graphic!
