I have fixed the bug with the angry citizen in the city dialog now. Apparently, I didn't understand all the code there, but it should work correctly now.
About disbanding cities, freeciv-web behaves like the other Freeciv clients when it comes to disbanding cities. I'm not sure this should be changed just for freeciv-web.
The H)ome command works in freeciv-web also now. Use the H keyboard shortcut while your unit is in the correct city.
And finally, Pillaging is now possible. Please give it a try, and let me know what you think!

Thank you Thank you! I am eager to test these out soon

Is there any way at all to disband a city? I'm pretty sure it was possible in the commercial versions of Civ, though I don't know about other Freeciv clients. However, in this post by Caedo from a couple days ago in this same forum:
http://forum.freeciv.org/f/viewtopic.ph ... rt=10#p412, he specifically mentions disbanding cities by building settlers. Or maybe he was thinking of commercial Civ?

In the non-web Freeciv clients (or at least the Gtk one), you can configure whether each city disbands if you build Settlers when they are at size 1; in Gtk this is on the Settings tab of the city dialog, "Disband if build settler at size 1".
I guess the problem is that this is either not exposed or not obvious in the freeciv-web client (I haven't checked).

I think I've discovered another city bug in Freeciv-web. At the beginning of the game when I'm still in Despotism, my units are costing me one shield each in support. Despotism is supposed to allow three free units though that don't cost any shields to support.
I think this is happening, but it's hard to be sure because the city screen doesn't tell you which units that city is supporting (which, by the way, would be a useful feature to add one day).
Edit: It looks like the actual problem is that a city doesn't correctly display its 'Prod' value and 'Turns to completion' for the turn immediately after it finishes production on something.

As a follow-up to my last post, I've noticed the problem doesn't just occur after building something. If you change which squares your citizens are working in the city map, resulting in a change in production, the 'Turns to completion' doesn't update until the following turn.

About disbanding cities, I didn't get it right. ADD a settler? what if the city is bigger than 1?
My method is to turn everybody into money specialists, getting rid of all buildings, and just letting the city starve.
Problem is that some of the cities conquered have a lot of food (4) so even with one worker, the city will progress.

Producing a settler in a city will reduce the city's size by one. If the city is size 1 and you've enabled the option in the city's settings, building that last settler will disband the city.

That was a good tip!
But I stick to my method for a second best: It seems quicker to disband a city by starving it out...
So the method is:
1) Sell out all improvements
2) Reduce to only one settler
3) Just go for gold or science
4) and of course, disband city
That leaves an ugly Ruin, so I think the "build a settler" is a better option.
What happens with more than 1 habitant in the city? How do you get away?

If the city square itself produces two or more food, then it will be able to support size 1 even if the last citizen is turned into a specialist, so it will never starve. You might be able to starve a city though if you build multiple settlers to reduce it down to size 1, since these will then require food support from the city. After then turning the last remaining citizen into a specialist, the strain on the food supply from supporting those settlers might do the trick

There is no such option in Freeciv-web.

It turns out this isn't possible. In this situation, the settlers are automatically disbanded to prevent starvation. So, as long as a city is producing two or more food with its central square, there is no way to get rid of a city in Freeciv-web.
