I got green light from barque drawings, andythenorth, for using it in this project under GPL licence, thus there are sprites for steam tug barque and diesel propelled barque, arranged for trident and amplio tileset:
River boats/ships

PS. no idea why images are displayed in different formats, but after download they are OK with size and marquee.

Re: River boats/ships
Cool, how did you get all those different perspectives?
What is now the purpose of those ships? Only carrying freights on rivers? An sucessor of the cog so to speak? Although the cog is also seafaring but maybe shoudnt be able to carry freights. Only caravans.
Yeah, I can confirm they both have no white background but are both transparent. I guess it has to do with the file size. Once your image has a certain width (or maybe with width/height ratio?) it displays a would-be white background that doesnt exist once you download.PS. no idea why images are displayed in different formats, but after download they are OK with size and marquee.

These drawings are modified and repainted OpenTTD creation (use granted by original author).XYZ wrote:Cool, how did you get all those different perspectives?
Same like Trireme, transporting any units along rivers/sea shelf. Such units are needed if rivers are obstacles for movement of land units, opposite to standard rulesets.XYZ wrote: What is now the purpose of those ships? Only carrying freights on rivers? Re: River boats/ships
Maybe it's a translation issue, but aren't those Barges (large flat-bottomed ships) rather than Barques (small multi-masted sailing ship)?Wahazar wrote:I got green light from barque drawings, andythenorth, for using it in this project under GPL licence, thus there are sprites for steam tug barque and diesel propelled barque, arranged for trident and amplio tileset:

Wishes he could convert Civ2's scenarios to FreeCiv...
But instead, he made his own tileset variants, RoundSquare and Sextant-enHANSed, and refuses to play on anything else. Check them out!

Re: River boats/ships
Of course it should be Barges, river flat boats, not Barques. Thanks for correction.

I just assumed there was this cool ship called a "barque" that I knew nothing about.Wahazar wrote:Of course it should be Barges, river flat boats, not Barques. Thanks for correction.
