T45 will be a team game if we can agree about the teams before the start or teamless if not.
It will require native client and can't be played on web browser. And yeah, it's lots of fun to build an empire when the rest of the nations are also played by human players. 23h turns with a ruleset improved for multiplayer games.
New game, LT45, to start in about 10 days or less

Maybe you should also mention the version now that both 2.5 and 2.6 release series are active (2.5 to get obsoleted by final 2.5.12 release soonish)wieder wrote:It will require native client

Right. Very true. It's too easy to forget this.
LT45 will be a Freeciv 2.5 game.
It will take some time to prepare everything for 2.6 so this one will be definitely 2.5 based.
The upcoming LT46 may be 2.5 or 2.6 based but it's planned to start in 2-3 months and it's also more experimental ruleset with maybe 20 new techs mostly added to the end of the tech tree so that the end techs would take a longer time to research. Because LT46 has all the new units, buildings and techs we could think of, it might make sense to switch to 2.6 with that game.
