Hi,
I created another scenario: Germany in the borders of 1871 with most of the states of that time plus related but unhistoric territories to make it more even.
More details in the scenario description.
Check it out and leave a comment!

Re: Scenario: Germany 1871
Hello,
Having played Bayern for a while, I must say I like your scenario. The rivers make things much more interesting than most built-in maps (like Europe), because one can use boats to attack in-land enemy cities.

Re: Scenario: Germany 1871
Hi,
thanks for the review. Indeed, its much more realistic if you can navegate the big rivers like the Rhine and the Elbe. Also they really represent an obstacle that cant be traversed at every tile.
Talking about Bavaria, I had to put Austrians at their territory since they had to much space to grow easily. Henceforth the game is now more balanced. I reduced the amount of gold from 500 to 200.
With some luck it can be included into freeciv web...

Re: Scenario: Germany 1871
Hello again,
I played two games with v1.3 as the Hanseatic League against cheating AIs. First time I was wiped out by the Austrians, which had over 1000 points by the time others had 350; this time I hope I can survive, but they have 1400 pts while the second (me) has only 500. So maybe you need yet another nation to balance the game...
Anyway, I enjoy the challenge of surviving the Austrians. Thanks for this

Re: Scenario: Germany 1871
Hey!
I made several changes since the last time. My ai-only simulations were promising. Check out the newest version and thank you again for testing and reviewing. It helps a lot! If the unbalance isnt rooted out I will add new nations
Ferdi
Edit: to be fair, playing the Hanseatic Cities is very hard, playing Oldenburg even harder ... Playing the Teutonic Order should be very easy.
