This morning walked to pc to continue a game.
I wasn't alowed so reload but nothing only loading game failed (ajax request failed), tried other saves but nothing.
I saw that somebody else was logged to mine game earlier last night (I am in GMT) so early hours in the US.
What can I do to restore?
Secondly what is the location of the save games? (using chrome 64-bit)
Third can you save games in an other directory?
Loading game failed (ajax request failed)
Re: Loading game failed (ajax request failed)
Hi bork,
I released a new version of Freeciv-web today, which unfortunately isn't able to load savegames from the previous version.
If you start a new game now, then saving and loading it will work correctly. I'm sorry about that, this is the price of progress...

The price to pay, ok. It would be nice to be informed about such a effort
Amd could you help me with the other two questions?

The savegames can't be restored. The savegames are stored in the browser's localstorage, and it is not possible to store them at another place at the moment.bork wrote:Amd could you help me with the other two questions?

*bump*
I am assuming a new version was released in the last couple of days?
Since I am now experiencing the same issue and there's no way to access my saved game.

Ok... So what could be the reason for getting that message?sveinung wrote:I don't think it has. But a new version is on the way.WanderingDude wrote:I am assuming a new version was released in the last couple of days?
Re: Loading game failed (ajax request failed)
There could be a problem in the savegame loading code. Andreas just released a new version of Freeciv-web to play.freeciv.org. This version of Freeciv-web has an updated version of the Freeciv server. It may have fixed the savegame loading code problem. Could you check if the new version still has the problem? (It could also be cause by a problem in Freeciv's save game loading that we haven't discovered or fixed yet)WanderingDude wrote:Ok... So what could be the reason for getting that message?
Another possibility is that the savegame it self is broken.

Not sure if I am supposed to do some special step?
But I just tried again to load the existing savegame in Freeciv-web, but I get the same error.

Nothing special.WanderingDude wrote:Not sure if I am supposed to do some special step?
Maybe I should have a look at it? Could you download the save game and upload it somewhere? I think this forum will let you upload the save game if you put it in a zip file.WanderingDude wrote:But I just tried again to load the existing savegame in Freeciv-web, but I get the same error.
