I have been using freeciv-gtk3.22 with homebrew on a Mac for a while with no issue. It recently updated to gtk4 and now I cannot use it without minimizing it and reopening it between every 2 or 3 mouse clicks to regain control.
Any resolution?

Re: freeciv-gtk4 on MacOS 26
I'm on a much older Mac (11.7) and building with MacPorts because homebrew doesn't support Macs that old. I have found gtk4 client very buggy - when it first comes up the menubar doesn't work, have to change to another app and change back to get it to work. It also prints out tons of warnings. I suspect the problems are in the gtk4 package, interesting to hear there's also problems with homebrew. I use the qt client when I'm playing, and use the gtk3.22 client when I need to use edit mode for testing my code changes.
It seems the plan is to make gtk4 the default going forward, I hope gtk3.22 continues to get supported because gtk4 on the Mac is a problem.
