Do you see links in the man pages?

Post by JimDeLaHunt »

Freeciv users on Linux (and Windows): could you please check the man pages and check something for me?

At the command line, enter

Code: Select all

man freeciv-client
(or freeciv-server or freeciv-modpack, for that matter). Documentation appears. Look towards the end, in the Bugs and More Info sections. Do you links to web pages in those sections, or not?

Windows users, I don't know whether or not Freeciv provides you with man pages. If the above command does not show you documentation, then no worries. I guess man pages might only exist on Unix-like systems such as Linux and macOS.

Here is what you should see, towards the end of the man page:
BUGS
Please report bugs to the Freeciv bug tracker <https://osdn.net/projects/freeciv/ticket/>.

MORE INFO
See the Freeciv homepage <http://www.freeciv.org/>.
But on my macOS computer, I don't see the links. Instead, I see:
BUGS
Please report bugs to the Freeciv bug tracker .

MORE INFO
See the Freeciv homepage .
Please post your answers either here as replies, or to bug ticket #42265 Man pages missing links (broken .UR, .UE requests).

Thank you!
