(There is no official Off Topic subforum, maybe it would be nice to have one for people to socialise... if you want to have something like that here...)

Anyway, during August my wife and me will be travelling through Finland, Sweden and Norway and I'd be interested if anyone would have any recommendation for sightseeing, or some good (and not too expensive) food advice.

Well, basically, since we're first time there, *any* kind of local advice would be useful.

We'll spend ten days in Helsinki (attending some events), after that we'll be driving to Nordkapp and then back through Norway (maybe Narvik) and Sweden, probably through Germany and move on further south. For now, the only spot we have fixed in our plan (apart from Nordkapp) is Treriksröset. Everything else is flexible, depending what advice we pick up here and there or stumble upon on the internet.

So, if you're from anywhere near and want to brag about some must-see locations, this is a good opportunity :)

I suggest you visit these places in Norway: Lofoten, Trondheim, Kristiansund, Atlantic Ocean Road, Molde, Ålesund, Geiranger Fjord, Bergen, Oslo. Make sure you have tasted all the salmon dishes. Have a nice vacation!

If point of the trip is sightseeing, consider driving some other route than E75 from Jyväskylä to Oulu. It's the fastest route, but also the most boring; almost completely straight road through hours of monotonous forest. I myself prefer E12 from Tampere to Vaasa and E8 from there.
