Building from source code advice

You can get help here if Freeciv doesn't start on your computer, or if you keep getting fatal errors while playing etc.

Building from source code advice

Post by udawos »

It seems like Msys2 and Cygwin are the ways to go for building, and there's a lot of talk about compiling all over the place in the forum.
As someone coming in new to the freeciv developing community, I was hoping to see if there is a preferred or better program for developing freeciv. Do you have a preference? Is there one I should avoid?

Thank you!

Your link also completely answered my question about building without installing (which I edited away).
