List of present units in 2.6.4

You can get help here if Freeciv doesn't start on your computer, or if you keep getting fatal errors while playing etc.

List of present units in 2.6.4

Post by milsu »

In list of present units in 2.6.4, unit status is not displayed to show whether it is fortified or sentried and rank of unit. Was it done intentionally, or is it a bug?

gtk3-client (not gtk3.22)? Then you are likely referring to this: https://osdn.net/projects/freeciv/ticket/42284

Yes, gtk3-client on Windows 10. I suppose that is that, but not only health bar, but all of their status, whether they are fortified or sentried, and what is their rank - veteran, hardened, or elite, it is not shown in the list of present units.

Yes, it's all the overlays. Only the unit itself is shown.

One workaround would be using msys2 based gtk3.22-client from http://files.freeciv.org/packages/windo ... /releases/

In general, maybe we should start treating msys2 builds as the official ones even for freeciv-2.6. With msys1 environment so badly outdated, msys2 builds seem to have much less issues than msys1 ones, yet we have msys1 as the official builds and msys2 as "experimental".

Now there's also msys1 snapshot build with the fix available from http://files.freeciv.org/packages/windo ... snapshots/
Fix is in the 21-05-22 build.
