I'm not sure what all that means as I am just a user, not a coder... but the last apk you posted did not help the coloration issue. I did see the big black areas on the map you mentioned however.

I guess I am done testing for this issue. My Samsung S9+ just got updated by Verizon to Android 9.0 and the first thing I check is if Freeciv is working correctly. It is...hooray! Thanks for all your efforts!

ya I think this is the common issue in android phones because same errro was occured in my old phone.
