No Quitidle

You can get help here if Freeciv doesn't start on your computer, or if you keep getting fatal errors while playing etc.

No Quitidle

Post by Arbogast »

I playing v2.56.0-r33596 with GTK2 and
I just noticed that when quitting the game I no longer get the 'quitidle.sav' file.
It's just me or someone else has the same oddity ?

I take this as a confirmation that our bugfix works. The bug was that client failed to close the server, and instead it remained running until it itself reached idle timeout (no clients connected in long enough time) mainly meant for public servers.

What does it all Mean ?
Do we get back the 'Qquite.sav' ?
Anyhow, does it make a difference in the saved games ?

It was a bug that such a save ever was made on regular quit, so no, hopefully the bug does not come back. 'quitidle' means a save done on a public server when server shuts itself down after being unused (no clients connected) for too long.
