Release candidate 2.5.0-RC2

Post by JTN »

The second release candidate for the next major release of Freeciv, 2.5.0, is now available.

This fixes some bugs in the Qt client and includes GriffonSpade's updates to the Trident tileset.

To see what else has changed since RC1, see the full list of changes. For a reminder of what's new in 2.5.x compared to 2.4.x, see NEWS-2.5.0.

If no more showstopping bugs are reported in the near future, this candidate will become the next stable release, 2.5.0. Please report any bugs you find.

Source code is available here. Compiled Windows packages aren't available yet, but should follow shortly; we'll post again when they're available.

Windows packages are now up.

If no showstoppers reported in the next week, 2.5.0 could be released as soon as next weekend. Please report any bugs you do find.

Make that "... to our bugtracker." in the future announcements. We are now getting more bugs to pick from IRC, forums, and wiki than directly reported ones.
