2.4.4 is a new stable release fixing a few major bugs and lots of minor ones.
Notable fixes include a longstanding problem with inability to switch governments in the Gtk clients, many fixes to research in team games, and several causes of premature nuclear embarrassment. See the full list of changes.
Source code is available in the usual place. Compiled Windows packages aren't available yet, but should follow shortly; we'll post again here when they turn up. (They should resolve a number of major issues in East Asian locales in recent releases.)
