How to prevent players from using /take command ?

Post by Arrogant »

Hello,

I wonder how I can prevent players in a web multiplayer game from using the /take command and viewing another player's civ.

Also, is it possible to completely hide the civilization each player has chosen until they have met each other in the game ?

Thank you

What nations players are allowed to /take is managed by the 'allowtake' server option. Setting it to the empty string "" means players aren't allowed to take other players (human, AI or barbarian; alive or dead), and can't observe (globally or other players).

As far as I know, it is not possible to hide players' nations from other players currently.

Thanks. And this command should be issued by the game creator before the start of the game ? I read that it doesn't affect current players.

In general, what other commands are common and desirable when one is starting a multiplayer game ?
