A new version of Freeciv-web + WebGL was released to the production server https://play.freeciv.org today.
There are many updates, see the Full changelog on GitHub.
One notable improvement to Freeciv WebGL is that fog-of-war and unknown tile edges are rendered much smoother.
This new rendering method uses vertex colors to store fog-of-war and unknown tiles in the landscape mesh and renders it more smoothly.
