What does the chrome app do?

Postby drdogbot7 » Sun Mar 12, 2017 3:31 pm

Chrome app Doesn't seem to do anything. Is it supposed to enable any gameplay enhancements, or is it just a link to start a game?

The listing of Freeciv-web in the Chrome Web Store has several aspects:

-The Freeciv-web app in the Chrome Web Store creates a link to start a new game directly from the starting page of Chrome. So this is a very convenient way to start the game.
-New users can discover Freeciv-web in the Chrome Web Store. These users would otherwise perhaps not have found the game. So this leads to more users of the game.
-Users can rate and give feedback about the game in the Chrome Web Store. This is valuable for the developers of the game, so we know what the users thinks of the game and how we can improve it. This leads to a better quality game.

Doesn't enhance the gameplay as much as it helps the developers know how they are faring in terms of rating and feedback.
