Islands, quite rough terrain and more focus on the oceans.
This one is for those who want to experience the classic game with traditional gameplay. Each multiplayer unit has a purpose and is not there just because.

Well yeah. This game will be using our stable LTT ruleset that is not supposed to be changed that much for each game. At longturn.net we have multiple rulesets for the games and this particular game is using one that that could be called stable one. There can be bug fixes or similar stuff. No point in not fixing something if it's broken. However the number of fixes has been decreasing for a while and it's quite easy to check the very short list of changes with this "frozen" ruleset.
The idea is to keep it stable enough so that the players can actually know the game they are playing.
We of course have an alternative to those who like to have more changes and more options. LTX or longturn extended/experimental has lots of additional features. It's based on LTT so that if you know how to play with the stable one, you know the basics and can focus on having fun instead of learning it all over again.
Not saying that learning everything all over again would be bad. Some people like that and for them we have those more liberal rulesets like Augmented2, SIM and Aviation. All except Aviation can be played with the current vanilla client.

One is actually going to start quite soon. This is the game people have played as Sunday games for years if not almost decades. This time as a longturn setup. No changes. Everything as authentic as possible. Freeciv 2.6 and standard client.
