The thing is that longturn.org is not really marketed. Few random posts, tweets or facebook posts doesn't really equal marketing.
Another thing is that native client simply can't have the same number of players as a web client. The other is able to reach up to 20-30% of the internet users while the other can reach 2-3%. You get the idea
The more any of the variants gain traction, the more the others will be known better. All will benefit from each other. More flavors is better. And stuff and stuff
Of course if someone has good ideas about how to make people more aware of Freeciv related stuff, that would be really great. At longturn.org we can pretty much only focus on creating the best possible game setups. Good games are worth checking out.
