Installing client on Mac OS

Post by petroglyph »

This has probably been asked before, but is there an instruction manual for installing the Freeciv client on a Mac OS? (I won't say publicly which OS I've got, such is our day and age.) Thanks!

There's this wiki page about it. It might be a little outdated (regarding the installer packages thing), but installing via Homebrew should work.

Use either Fink install X or MacPorts. I've never done it myself, although I also have a Mac. I had a bad situation with my last PC, I caught some kind of virus, and it caused half of my computer data to be deleted. I'm not saying that data recovery was a big problem, no, salvagedata.com are professionals in their business. The thing is that among the deleted files was everything related to Freeciv, that's why I was so upset. After that, I began to think less about games, so I advise you not to spend a lot of time on them.
