New Longturn Web game has started - no client needed

Post by Corbeau »

A new game with a freshly assembled Freeciv client has just started. You don't need to install the Freeciv native client, everything is done through web. However, unlike the Freeciv Web software, this is the actual client adjusted to operating in browser with full functionality.

Game is played longturn-style, with 23-hour turns (first turn is extended 3x for new players' convenience). The ruleset is Multiplayer adjusted with "quick fixes" to support more dynamic environment for a turn-per-day game.

The official bulletin board for this game is on Longturn forum: http://forum.longturn.net/viewtopic.php?id=1260
Changes to the ruleset, technical details and winning conditions are listed there.

For all interested, there are 24 hours left to join and make your first turn. T1 is extended for the purposes of getting acquainted with the game and getting as many people as possible to start from the beginning. All subsequent turns will last 23 hours.

Join now to see how it works, you can always quit later ;)
