Tile bonus during atack

Post by belpir »

Hello,
I already know there are defense bonuses for units who defend tiles like (river, forest, mountain ..etc). Is there also any bonus given from a tile for attacking unit?
Sometimes I think there is difference if I attack an enemy unit ie (If I attack from desert to enemy who stays on forest, I won't win). But if I try to attack a unit from forest -> forest it seems I can beat the unit much easily). In both examples I suppose the same units (ie warriors (1/1/1) on the same veteran level).

Thanks

No, there are no terrain-based attack bonuses. The only direct attack bonuses come from veteran levels, and then there's the special case when a fighter plane attacks a helicopter, in which case the helicopter's defense (and firepower) is reduced.

Maybe archers should have attack bonus from hills/mountains? What do you think?

It does not particularly make sense at a strategic level: the tiles represent such a large amount of space that the units are actually moving onto the territory the defending unit is on to attack them.
