Can I pick nations for the AI players?

I know I've seen it said before that you can modify the nations ruleset to exclude certain ones or what but I can't find a cut-and-dry explanation of how to mod the ruleset in the first place and maybe I'm overthinking it but it's just complicated and all I wanna do is pick the AI nations. Somebody tell me how? If I can?

In pregame screen:
1. Select AI player
2. Right Click to open a menu
3. Select "Pick nation"

Is that what you were after?

Freeciv-web doesn't support picking nations for the AI players yet. I will add support for this in the next version.
