Default behaviour of engineers

Post by Mahler »

In the default settings, the engineers make flat ground with farms: max food production, no production shields. It's better for me to have ballance between food and shields.

If you want to keep on using autosettlers, and not to go all the way to controlling them yourself, city worker tasks provide some balance between those modes - autosettlers prioritize any tasks you've given as a worker task. Help -> Cities has a section about worker tasks.

It would be nice to get some generalized way to tell the advisor a city purpose (that would also improve AI a lot), would we make this city an industrial center or a migrant source.

They are always cutting the forests in the auto-settlers mode, how to enforce them to leave some forests? Governor setting 'max production' is not affecting it.

Currently, only by placing other tasks on city map. Or never using autosettlers :(
