How to start contributing to development?

Post by GrafWasili »

Hello,

I would like to try and contribute to the project as a programmer. I have read the available documents and there are two open questions:

How can I create an account on plan.io to use the issue tracker?

What tasks can you recommend to start with? There a some introduction tasks listed in the wiki and forum but they seem to be rather old and might be out-dated?

If somebody can recommend a suitable task and would be willing to review a potential patch let me know ;)

That might be a problem now that hostedredmine has moved under planio. The main page says "HostedRedmine.com by planio remains free for all existing users" It's the word "existing" that worries me. Maybe we can't have new users any more?

For the time being (until we sort out hostedredmine.com issue somehow) it's probably best for you to post your patches to that mailing list, from which those who have existing hostedredmine.com account can take them to the system.

That's what I'll do then.
