Currently, there are two persistent problems (Windows 10 x64, gtk3.22 client):
Firstly, the tile info box that appears when middle-clicking the map has no background. The text is there, but it's hard to discern in front of the terrain.
Secondly, the client simply crashes occasionally when trying to drag an item in a city's worklist. This doesn't always happen and I haven't been able to figure out, when exactly it happens, but it's a thing that's happening. I'll try to find out the exact circumstances triggering this.

EDIT: Also, the color pickers (I presume) for Client Settings → Graphics → "Color to highlight your player/user name" don't work and cause a crash.
EDIT2: Also, the vote bar takes up half the screen.

There's a new build from S2_6 r35551.
http://files.freeciv.org/packages/windo ... snapshots/

- First build with msys2 environment 170422
- It's a release-type build (not the usual snapshot-type) in that version numbers do not include revision of the source code repository. This built is made from a tarball, not directly from the repository. This is related to the ongoing svn to git migration.

Please test to see if msys2 environment 170422 is good for freeciv-2.6 releases.

Despite the fact that we don't have version control repository online yet after the gna.org shutdown, development of freeciv has not been paused. For the msys2 based builds news is that I have a new msys2 environment, msys2-170616, ready and waiting. Once we have the version control repository up again, msys2 based builds will use that new environment version.
For compatibility reasons we will not be able to update msys2 environment for S2_6 any further. This is the final version freeciv-2.6 will use.

First build using the new git repository is coming up. At the time of writing gtk3.22-client is still building, but other packages are already available. This is from git commit c0e0c9a632.

- First build from a git repository -> you see git commit ids in most places where svn revision numbers used to be
- First build with msys2 environment version 170616
