I got a mouse with an extra side wheel for lateral scrolling. Would be nice to be able to roam sidewise through the map.

Yes! and by the wibble-wobble wheel, as I can remember, also does not scroll!

And yes, for those of us that don't have the extra wheel maybe a 'shift' key with the normal wheel.
