River boats/ships

What would you like to see in Freeciv? Do you have a good idea what should be improved or how?

PS. no idea why images are displayed in different formats, but after download they are OK with size and marquee.

Cool, how did you get all those different perspectives?

Yeah, I can confirm they both have no white background but are both transparent. I guess it has to do with the file size. Once your image has a certain width (or maybe with width/height ratio?) it displays a would-be white background that doesnt exist once you download.

What is now the purpose of those ships? Only carrying freights on rivers? An sucessor of the cog so to speak? Although the cog is also seafaring but maybe shoudnt be able to carry freights. Only caravans.

These drawings are modified and repainted OpenTTD creation (use granted by original author).

Same like Trireme, transporting any units along rivers/sea shelf. Such units are needed if rivers are obstacles for movement of land units, opposite to standard rulesets.

Maybe it's a translation issue, but aren't those Barges (large flat-bottomed ships) rather than Barques (small multi-masted sailing ship)?

Wishes he could convert Civ2's scenarios to FreeCiv...
But instead, he made his own tileset variants, RoundSquare and Sextant-enHANSed, and refuses to play on anything else. Check them out!

Of course it should be Barges, river flat boats, not Barques. Thanks for correction.

I just assumed there was this cool ship called a "barque" that I knew nothing about. :)
