When you upgrade a unit, it would be nice to see how much it's gonna cost and what unit it will be upgraded to, and the have an option to decide whether you want to do it. As is, it just does the upgrade and then tells you what it cost.
E.g. "Upgrade Phalanx to Riflemen for 105 Gold? (( Yeah! )) (( Meh.))"
Upgrade Unit Confirmation Dialog
Re: Upgrade Unit Confirmation Dialog
I currently can't think of a way to not get the unit upgrade dialog in the C clients. (I didn't check.) Am I correct in assuming that this request is for Freeciv-web rather than regular Freeciv?
Assuming Freeciv-web: you should get the unit upgrade dialog if you order a unit upgrade via the action selection dialog (right click the unit -> "Do..." or by pressing 'd' twice).

Re: Upgrade Unit Confirmation Dialog
Yes, this is in freeciv-web, PBEM. I should have specified.
I've always upgraded a unit by either pressing SHIFT-U or maybe using the right-click context-menu. It doesn't ever give me a confirmation dialog.
Next time I will try hitting 'd d'. I didn't know about that.
