Civ5 Ruleset (Willing to Pay $200 for)

I will pay someone $200 to create a civ5 rule set. This includes a system for culture, religious, and diplomatic victories. It also includes civ5 wonders and their affects, and civ5 combat, and civ5 trade... etc. Basically, I want to play civ5 without using proprietary software. I'm willing to negotiate on details. I understand that this isn't just making a new rule-set, but involves adding to what is currently possible with the game engine.

I'll provide $50 just for a detailed road map of what all needs to be done to get there, and how it can be done (eg, new options for rulesets that are needed for the creation of the civ5 ruleset). The $50 is also so you know I'm not bluffing. I play this game a lot.

After the roadmap is made, I'm willing to break up the money over the different sections of the list, so that multiple people can work on it.

You asked for not trivial task. And your description isn't good. What about Civ5 mod? It should works in freeciv?

If you are serious, you should organize collection on kickstarter or something like that and hire developers for a long time. I think one developer is too small group to create game such as Civilization V. Minimum for half of year period should be five full-hired developers, I suppose. You should think how organize and advertise collecting of money. Why you don't pay for Civilization VI or other version? You should describe the reason.

Sorry. Basically, I want the game engine modified in a way where it is possible to create a Civ5 ruleset. Currently, the limitations of the game prevent the creation of such a ruleset. The needed options simply do not exist. After the game engine is modified to allow for the creation of a civ5 ruleset, I want that to be made, so that I can play it.

My making a kickstarter without a plan laid out, and without developers ready to take the money, doesn't really make sense unfortunately. A ground plan of all of the changes that need to be made to the game to allow for the ruleset to be created needs to be made first. Then a kickstarter becomes an option.

I've never played Civ6, so I don't know if it's any good. Either way, the changes needed (as far as I know) to allow for a Civ5 ruleset would also allow for a Civ6 ruleset.

I'm more than willing to brainstorm here with you guys if you'd like, on all of the changes that would be needed. I think that would be a productive way of getting started.

If I were you, I would try to offer some other motivator than below cent/hour wage.

I have many free time and tries to introduce some of CivV mechanism into Progress and (later) try port it to Freeciv. If you assembly some big cash thanks to my work, then you can hire me and possible other developers. I must admit I start a new job in next month, so I don't know how much time I will have, but currently I have it.

There is a problem with offering money for something like this, and that is putting Freeciv on the radar by the owners of the original commercial Civ. There could be legal problems that would by far outweigh any of the benefits.

I think the justice is on our side, because Firaxis uses ideas created by Freeciv community to make money. Firaxis was first company, who did it.

Justice is relative. Law is absolute. And I'm sure it's easier to gamble with someone else's money, or work. So stop.
