New scope in requirements list

What would you like to see in Freeciv? Do you have a good idea what should be improved or how?

New scope in requirements list

Add new scopes to requirement list:
- Defender
- Attacker

It could be used to change defense bonuses and combat strength based for ex. on terrain.

I assume this means having seperate defendbonus requirements with the abiliy to base it on both defender unitclass and attacker unitclass?

I was just noticing this today, and wondered if I had put that in my wishlist, and it turns out I didn't!

Having such an ability really would make sense. It would allow for example, archers and siege weapons to gain more defense behind walls than other units, and for coastal defenses and SAM batteries to only work with units with anti-sea and anti-air capabilities. (No phalanx defense bonus against Battleships :lol: )
